IPS is pleased to announce a FREE photography workshop for beginners!
Workshop 1: This is for 2 hours from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday 9th September at the Hawdon St Community Hall, 80 Hawdon St, Heidelberg.
The first workshop is for anyone with any camera, even a smartphone camera, as it covers the basics of what a camera is, how to use automatic mode properly and, more importantly, how to compose a photo that people will want to look at. We cover the majority of the so-called ‘rules’ for good composition, from the rule of thirds through to creating the illusion of depth in a scene. Bring your camera with you for the practical sessions.
Workshop 2: This is for 2 hours from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday 16th September at the Hawdon St Community Hall, 80 Hawdon St, Heidelberg.
The second workshop is a bit more hands-on and focuses on using the manual controls of your camera. We assume attendees have a camera that has manual control over aperture, shutter speed and ISO. By the end, you should understand when and why you should manually change these camera settings for even better photos. Bring your camera with you for the practical hands-on sessions.
